The fishing season on the East Cape runs from April to November generally. From November through March the East Cape experiences strong winds--especially the infamous North Wind that can blow for days. While the windsurfers love it, it's terrible for fishing. The wind usually clears towards the end of March. Prime time for fishing is usually late May through October.
